Hand Rejuvenation: Correct Sun Damaged & Aging Hands

It’s true; in order to look our best and youngest it is important include the neck, chest, and hands in our prevention routine. In this post, we will be addressing the hands, but many of these treatments can improve other areas of the body as well. Treatment options for rejuvenation of the aging hand include topical agents, microdermabrasion, chemical peeling, intense pulsed light (IPL), and micro-needling. Some of these treatment options improve atrophy or general volume loss of the hands, while others address hyperpigmentation otherwise known as the brown spots that we acquire as we age.

Microdermabrasion and peels are a quick, pain free treatment to help address the signs of aging hands. Microdermabrasion gives a physical exfoliation of the skin, a perfect treatment to pair with a chemical peel to chemically exfoliate the skin. Additionally, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment is a light based treatment to reduce the browns and reds in your skin and can also be paired with microdermabrasion. A perfect way to get rid of hyperpigmentation and sun damage!

It is a micro-needling device that uses micro injury to signal the body to make more collagen (a decrease in collagen production is the reason we age to begin with)!
