Your consultation is our opportunity to discuss your goals and hopes for reducing stubborn body fat. Our highly trained experts at LuminaSkin in San Mateo will examine you and begin working on a treatment plan. What is the process for CoolSculpting?
When you arrive at our medical spa in San Mateo, you will be seated in our CoolSculpting room. The room has two machines to make the treatment go as quickly as possible. We will take before and after photos for your chart as well. One of our providers will mark the areas for treatment, which were discussed previously during your consultation.
How Does CoolSculpting Work at LuminaSkin?
The treatment actually begins when the provider places the applicators on the appropriate areas of your body. Each applicator will be attached for a period of 60 minutes. You will be unable to go to the restroom when the applicators are attached, but you will have a bathroom break applications.
We value your comfort during your CoolSculpting in San Mateo treatment. So, we offer free WiFi, Netflix, snacks and refreshments throughout the treatment session.
Is CoolSculpting a One Time Treatment?
CoolSculpting is designed to be a one time treatment for patients. Each treatment removes approximately 25 percent of the fat beneath the skin in each treatment area. How Long Does the CoolSculpting Session Last?
The applicator must be applied for one hour. If you only have two areas being treated, your entire session can be completed in one hour. However, if you will have multiple areas treated on the same day, the treatment session may last several hours.
You are not required to completed all treatment areas the same day. You have the option of scheduling multiple appointments over several days if you have a hectic schedule or other obligations.
How Soon Can I Expect to See Results?
CoolSculpting’s non-invasive approach means you are unlikely to see immediate results. Most patients begin to see results in six to eight weeks, and maximum results are seen at 12 weeks. However, each person is different, and the appearance changes will vary for each individual.
