Before Treatment:
o Before your appointment, be sure the area to be treated is clean and clean-shaven for men; avoid alcohol 24 hours prior. A topical numbing cream will be applied to your desired treatment area before treatment begins. It is important to discontinue use of products with active ingredients, such as Retin-A.
During Treatment:
During your Ultherapy treatment, your practitioner first marks the treatment areas and applies ultrasound gel. Then, using ultrasound imaging to view and target specific skin layers with precision, the handpiece delivers controlled energy bursts, creating brief sensations of warmth and tingling. Each person experiences these sensations differently, ranging from mild heat pulses to more intense warmth, especially when treating deeper layers. Treatment duration varies by area, anywhere from 30-90 minutes.
After Treatment:
Immediately after your Ultherapy PRIME treatment, you may experience slight redness and flushing which typically subsides within a few hours, along with some mild swelling around the treated areas. While the skin may feel temporarily tender to touch, you can return to your normal activities right away. It's important to apply sunscreen if heading outdoors, and you can gently cleanse your skin as usual.
