A: Absolutely not. Although wearing some type of SPF is better than not wearing any at all, wearing sunscreen alone is far superior than wearing a make up with SPF. Most make up cracks on the skin, allowing UVA and UVB rays to penetrate through to the skin. More importantly, not all make up SPF’s have the appropriate zinc or titanium concentration of 6% or higher, which also allows unwanted rays to penetrate the skin. For the most complete protection, it is best to apply a little SPF prior to your makeup and don’t forget to touch it up during the day, preferably every couple hours.

At LuminaSkin, we offer several product lines with fantastic sunscreens ranging from matte to tinted to powder. Call or Visit us today to find out which SPF is best for you!
