RF Microneedling?
Potenza delivers focused radiofrequency (RF) technology to heat your skin. Using RF technology will trigger your body’s natural response to create an increased level of collagen and elastin production, resulting in an enhanced skin revitalization treatment versus microneedling alone.

You will likely need an initial series of three or five sessions one month apart for optimal results. During your initial consultation, our medical provider will discuss in-depth the perfect Potenza RF Microneedling protocol for your specific goals and needs.
The cost of your RF microneedling treatment will depend on the extent of treatment needed to achieve your desired results. To get a better idea of how much your RF microneedling treatment will cost, we encourage you to come in for a private consultation.
If you’re looking for minimally invasive treatment options to reduce your hyperpigmentation or uneven skin texture while tightening your lax skin, RF microneedling may be right for you. Ideal candidates for RF microneedling are in general good health and have realistic expectations of their results. However, if you’re unsure whether RF microneedling is right for you, we encourage you to come in for a private consultation with one of our LuminaSkin medical aesthetic experts. We’ll be happy to sit down with you, listen to your concerns, evaluate your skin, and develop a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve your ultimate aesthetic goals.
- Be sure the area being treated is clean and clean-shaven for men
- Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior
- Avoid hot water baths or showers
- Post-treatment, please wear sunblock from SPF 30+, as well as any post-treatment skincare recommended by LuminaSkin medical provider
- Use ice packs every two hours, IF necessary for 15-20 minutes at a time for the first 24 hours post-treatment if there is any swelling and discomfort
- Do not scratch or scrub the treated area
- Resume normal activities and makeup-use after 24 hours
- Please be gentle with the treated area
The elastin and collagen building typically takes place 4-6 weeks after treatment, with optimal results usually seen at 12 weeks after the last treatment. The number of passes and penetration to the skin will affect the results seen.
Treatment times will vary on patient, area of the body being treated, penetration depth and number of passes, but most Potenza treatments are performed within 1 hour.
You can have multiple areas of treatment done at the same time, in one session. It is only suggested that you wait when wanting to re-treat a targeted area.
Potenza treatments are well-tolerated, with minimal reported side effects, such as pinpoint bleeding, swelling, redness, or irritation. As pain tolerance varies from patient to patient, numbing cream may be offered by your physician to make the treatment more tolerable.
